Dr. David Mohrig has held faculty positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and now The University of Texas at Austin for the past 22 years. Before those appointments, he was a Senior Research Geologist at both Exxon Production Research Company and ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company. As a result, David has been involved in multiple University-Industry collaborations working from both sides of the partnership. He is recipient of the 2021 G.K Gilbert Award in Surface Processes from AGU and the 2019 Francis J. Pettijohn Medal for Sedimentology from SEPM.
