Call for Abstracts

The Technical Program for 2025 is designed to bring greater integration between the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), the American Association of Petroleum Geology (AAPG), and the Society for Sedimentary Geology (SEPM) members to discuss, debate, and understand potential solutions for our industry. The technical themes are designed around geographical regions to bring subsurface geoscientists together evaluating ideas and issues in specific areas and basins. There will be sessions for specific technology areas in geophysics and geology, but submitted abstracts should also consider integration and application to unlock questions in the subsurface.

Share your case studies, technological advancements, and research discoveries with the world's leading assembly of applied geoscientists, thought leaders, and technical experts from around the world. (Late submissions will not be accepted.)

Call for Abstracts Now Open! Submission Deadline: 15 March, 5:00 p.m. (CT)
Benefits of submitting abstracts for the 2025 program:
  • Global platform for sharing your knowledge, research, and ideas with other thought leaders and technical experts
  • Opportunities to collaborate and network with other presenters and conference attendees
  • Promotion of your abstract and visibility of your findings to the brightest minds in geophysics
  • Interaction with global experts, gaining feedback on current and future projects while also discovering the latest research results and advances in the geosciences sector
NEW FOR 2025: To submit an abstract, you must be a member of AAPG, SEG, SEPM or you need to be an invited speaker.

During the submission process, you will be required to select the Society or Societies you belong to and provide your membership number. If you are an invited speaker, you will receive a unique code from the committee member who invited you.

Please note that all membership or invitation codes will be verified after the submission period closes. It is essential to have current membership at the time of submission; submissions from those who are not current members will be rejected. Therefore, ensure that your membership is current and renewed before the call closes.
