Jean-Marc Ugolini, a graduate of Sorbonne Polytech University, Paris (1988), joined CGG in 1990 then Elf in 1991 as a Seismic Stratigrapher and Quantitative Interpretation Geophysicist working in Exploration, Pau, France.

Jean-Marc has been working for 30 years at TotalEnergies Exploration and Production. He had held several new venture, exploration and development operational and management roles in Africa, in Asia, and in Europe (including Brunei, Cameroun, Congo, Nigeria, Scotland), as well as Global Exploration Strategy, Portfolio, Planning, Benchmark and Performance in the headquarters.

Since 2018, Jean-Marc assumes the position of Technical Excellence Manager, in the TotalEnergies Houston-based Americas Exploration Hub, in charge of Seismic and Well Operations, Digital and Geoinformation Support, providing Technical Advice and developing Knowledge Sharing for all Americas exploration activities.
