Jim LoCoco, CEO, Business Development, Mount Sopris, Denver, CO. Jim has over 41 years diversified international and domestic experience in slimline borehole geophysics. Early career duties focused on acquisition, processing & presentation, along with interpretation of borehole geophysical logs for mining, shallow hydrocarbon, groundwater & environmental, and geotechnical – engineering – infrastructure applications. Jim has authored or co-authored and presented numerous manuscripts and papers over the years at international symposia, trade shows, workshops, and conferences. Notable titles include “Advances in Slimline Borehole Geophysical Logging (mining applications)” at the 2017 DMEC Exploration ’17 Conference, and “Borehole Geophysics” Chapter 4, Groundwater & Wells, 3rd Edition, 2007. Jim is currently on the Executive Board of Directors at the National Groundwater Association and is a member of the PFAS sub-committee. He is a director at NGWA’s Groundwater Foundation as well, overseeing the Water Well Trust program which drills water wells for families in need. Jim has also served on the EEGS Board and was Technical Chair at SAGEEP 2010.
