John Ardill is Vice President of Global Exploration at ExxonMobil, located in Houston, Texas. He was born in the UK and is a US citizen, having worked in the US, Europe, South America, and Middle East.
After receiving his B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Edinburgh in 1992 and Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool in 1996, John began his career with Exxon in London, as a geologist.
Over the last 25 years with ExxonMobil John has held various leadership positions in Exploration, Development, Production, Research, M&A, and Corporate. In his current role, John is responsible for ExxonMobil's exploration activities around the world.
John is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Geological Society of London, and serves on several Boards.
