Kelly Rose, PhD, is the Technical Director for NETL's Science-based AI/ML Institute (SAMI). She is a geo-data science researcher with over twenty years’ experience developing data-driven methods and models to address energy and environmental challenges at the U.S. Department of Energy’s, National Energy Technology Laboratory. Her work has been applied to many scientific and societal domains including Earth science, geoinformatics, data management and virtualization, climate, metocean, oil spill prevention, mineral and groundwater resource assessments, geohazards, social and environmental justice, materials innovation, infrastructure resiliency, and smart systems.
