Lauren Haygood is a PhD student in the Boone Pickens School of Geology (BPSoG) at Oklahoma State University (OSU). Previously, she earned her B.Sc. (2019) and M.Sc. (2021) in Geosciences at The University of Tulsa (TU), where she worked on biogeochemistry and geospatial analysis of rivers. Her current PhD research focuses on biogeochemical and geospatial analyses of aquatic environments. Additionally, Lauren has been working to raise awareness about water quality through a citizen science project she started in 2020 in Oklahoma. Furthermore, Lauren is highly engaged in STEM outreach, science policy work, as well as mentoring middle school, high school, and undergraduate students in various water-related research projects.
