This panel will discuss the trends and challenges with establishing near-surface geophysical methods into routine practices for US highway infrastructure projects and provide insight into the relationship between the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and other state and local highway authorities to successfully manage and improve our national highway system. The Federal Highway Administration has long championed the deployment of innovative technologies though programs like the A-GaME, which will also be discussed.
