Aken Tong is a co-founder of two socially minded ventures: Crystal Energy Limited, an oilfield services startup company, and Seeding Mercy Inc., a social venture addressing energy poverty and food security in Africa. He intends, together with like minds, to revolutionize the oil and mineral sector in South Sudan, a country with huge untapped natural resources potential. Tong sits on the board of a few organizations and he's a passionate advocate of energy access for all. He holds BSc in Environmental Chemistry and currently is a graduate student studying Chemical Engineering.
