Autumn Haagsma is a lead geologist at Battelle Memorial Institute focused on carbon capture, utilization, and storage projects. She leads diverse teams to tackle challenging problems including characterization, modeling, risk assessment, machine learning, outreach and engagement, and environmental justice. She received her Masters of Science from University of Minnesota in Geophysics and Bachelors of Science from Central Michigan University in Physics and Geology. Additionally, she is pursuing her PhD in geology from Miami University focused on site selection methodologies for CCUS. Autumn serves on the sustainability committee, Women’s Network, Eastern Section, DEG, and is the past and present chair for the CCUS conference.
