Chad Holmes
Chad is an Exploration Advisor within the Chevron Global Exploration organization in Houston, TX. Chad received his Ph.D. from Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University in Marine Geophysics before joining Chevron in 2009. Since that time, Chad has worked as an interpretation tool developer, a geologist for deepwater Angolan assets, a seismic interpretation researcher, and a seismic stratigrapher working projects in Australia, Gulf of Mexico (USA and Mexico), West Texas, West Africa, Eastern Europe, and South Asia. After completing a MS in System Design and Management at MIT in 2021, Chad managed a portfolio of digital solutions in the Subsurface Innovation Lab focused on stratigraphy, geophysics, systems engineering, geothermal, and CCS. Chad is a member of the Global Teamwork Lab at MIT and has most recently published on topics related to transdisciplinary engineering and ML-enhanced geothermal exploration.
