David Carpenter is a professional geophysicist and geologist with over fifteen years of experience applying geophysical methods to a wide variety of engineering and environmental projects. He is a Senior Geophysicist with Schnabel Engineering and leads their Virginia geophysical team. In his current role, David works collectively with dam engineers, geologists, and other multi-disciplinary colleagues to provide value added geophysical surveys to the project. He has worked on many proposed and active pumped hydroelectric energy storages sites across the United States. David’s experience also includes applying multiple near-surface geophysical methods for complex dam, transportation, nuclear, military, energy, and resource projects. He is currently serving as the Chair of the A.E.G. Geophysics Technical Working Group.
