Gordon Osterman is a groundwater geophysicist working with the US Department of Agriculture in the Sustainable Agricultural Water Systems unit located in Davis, California. His PhD work at Rutgers University-Newark focused on geophysical estimation of hydraulic conductivity in sediment cores. At the USDA, Gordon uses geophysical tools to promote groundwater sustainability efforts in California’s Central Valley by assessing managed aquifer recharge viability and efficacy.
