James Davenport is the general manager of Geophysics and Petrophysics in Chevron’s Technical Center, based in Houston.

He joined Chevron in 2003, as a reservoir geophysicist and since then has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in Australia, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Most recently, he was managing geophysics and petrophysics activities in the Permian basin, Texas. James has led asset teams as well as teams in research and technology development.

James received a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics and a Master of Science of Science in Exploration Geophysics from University of Leeds, UK.
