John graduated with a Master of Science degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1991 and has been working in the oil and gas industry for the past 32 years. John started as a field geologist with Equitable Resources Exploration Co. in 1991 and spent his next 8 years with Equitable working CBM in SW Virginia and shallow water GOM. In 1999, John joined AMVEST Inc. out of Charlottesville, Virginia. At AMVEST John helped create an oil ang gas company with AMVEST's most significant asset in Osage County, Oklahoma. After AMVEST, John joined Ovintiv in 2007 and has held multiple positions in Dallas, Denver and his current role in the Woodlands as RC Geology Manager for the Anadarko and Rockies assets.
