Justin B. Rittgers, Engineering Geophysicist, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation – Technical Service Center
Justin is an Engineering Geophysicist in the Bureau of Reclamation Technical Service Center’s Engineering Geology and Geophysics Group in Denver, CO. He specializes in research and application of geophysics for subsurface exploration and imaging, and for addressing complex geological engineering, seismology, civil engineering, and infrastructure-related challenges. His work also focusses on hydrogeology, groundwater resources characterization studies, canal/levee/dam-safety, and environmental and archeological applications. He has an extensive multidisciplinary background in state-of-the-art geoscientific methods and analytical techniques. Justin joined Reclamation in 2011 and converted to full-time in 2015 after completing a Ph.D. in Engineering Geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. He is currently a registered Professional Geophysicist (PGP) in the State of California.
