Mark Prouty
Dr. Mark Prouty is President of Geometrics, Inc. of San Jose, CA. Prior to becoming President, Mark was Chief Technical Officer and Vice-President of Engineering, beginning in 1994. Geometrics is a world leader in geophysical instruments, including near-surface exploration seismographs, electromagnetic instrumentation, and magnetometers for exploration, UXO detection, and other applications. Mark’s focus at Geometrics has been on improving the ease-of-use of geophysical instrumentation, allowing more efficient field operations and obtaining the desired answers faster. Mark has led many government-funded research programs, receiving SERDP’s Project of the Year Award in 2008 and ESTCP Project of the Year in 2010. Mark received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
