Mr. Pascal Paré is a geophysicist of more than 25-year career in mining exploration. He is currently the Practice Lead Geophysics for BHP Metals Exploration where his role is to provide technical guidance and governance to all geophysics activities conducted globally and support to research initiatives.
Pascal obtained a B.A.Sc. (1994) in geological engineering at École Polytechnique of Montreal. He joined SAGAX Geophysique as geophysicist (1995-1997), project geophysicist at SQOUEM Inc. (1997-2004), Anglo American as senior and chief geophysicist (2005-2016) and now with BHP since 2016. He has worked in numerous exploration projects around the world for precious and base metals, diamond and coal. He was involved in the development of low temperature SQUID for applicability in mineral exploration.
