Selen Esmeray-Senlet
Selen Esmeray-Senlet is a Senior Exploration Geologist at Chevron International Exploration, in Egypt Exploration Team. She joined Chevron in 2014 after receiving her Ph.D. from Rutgers University and her M.Sc. and B.Sc. from Middle East Technical University, Turkiye. At Chevron, she initially worked as a Seismic Stratigrapher at the Technical Center before joining International Exploration. She is a company expert in seismic stratigraphic interpretation and visualization, reservoir characterization, integrated exploration workflows, clastic depositional settings, and chronostratigraphy. Selen has worked across a broad range of regions, including Egypt, Suriname, Atlantic Canada, West Africa, the Partitioned Zone, Myanmar, and the Gulf of Mexico. She led Chevron’s global Seismic Stratigraphy & Geomorphology Course in both domestic and international locations and currently co-teaches the Seismic Stratigraphy Graduate Course at Texas A&M University. Selen also has a strong publication record in the fields of Stratigraphy and Paleoceanography and has served as a session chair and technical reviewer at international conferences.
