Thibault is currently a Senior Prospect Generator / Explorationist within TotalEnergies’ South and East Africa Exploration team based in Pau, SW France, mainly focusing on the exploration potential of Mozambique and now Namibia.

Thibault has been with TotalEnergies for almost 25 years and has held a variety of positions in the Exploration Branch looking at both Portfolio and New Ventures activities that have taken him far and wide with postings to Nigeria, Libya, Indonesia and more recently to Singapore. Whilst there, he managed the exploration activities of several affiliates, before returning to a more technical role in which he relishes the challenges of putting all the pieces of the geological puzzle together.

Thibault holds a BA in Earth Sciences form Cambridge University, England, a Masters in geophysics from Université Paris VII, France and a Masters in Petroleum Geology form the IFP school, France.
