Dr. Yaoguo Li is a Professor in the Department of Geophysics at the Colorado School of Mines. He leads the Center for Gravity, Electrical, and Magnetic Studies (CGEM) and the industry consortium GMRC. His interests include inverse theory and the inversion of geophysical data sets for imaging geology and reservoirs, with diverse applications in mineral exploration, oil & gas exploration and production, and carbon storage monitoring. He served on the Board of Directors of SEG Advanced Modeling Corporation (SEAM) from 2011-2014, and as an Associate Editor for Geophysics from 2011-2021. He is the instructor of 11th EAGE Education Tour (EET) short course. He has broad collaborations with mineral and oil & gas industries, and with researchers and educators from the United States, Canada, Brazil, China, Europe, and S. Korea. He is a co-recipient of the 1999 Gerald W. Hohmann Award. He is an Honorary Member of SEG.
