Short Course
SC-03: Unconventional Reservoir Engineering for Geoscientists
Sunday, 24 August | 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | George R. Brown Convention Center
Sponsored by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)
This is a crash course that unconventional reservoir fundamentals such as decline curve analysis, rate transient analysis, pressure transient analysis, numerical simulation, and artificial lift strategy. Permian case studies cover lateral length versus recoveries, drawdown management, underperforming well analysis, fracture driven interactions, and how to use unconventional reservoir engineering fundamentals to propose development strategies.
Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops.
