Rick Miller is a senior scientist at the Kansas Geological Survey, University of Kansas. He holds a PhD in geophysics from the University of Leoben, Austria. Rick is past president of SEG. He has authored more than 130 refereed journal articles and nine book chapters. His applied research efforts have been supported by more than 80 different governments, government agencies, and private sector sponsors. Rick’s scientific interests focus on applying shallow-seismic methods to an assortment of near surface problems from energy to engineering to the environment.
