Rick Beaubouef is a geoscientist and subsurface integrator with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Best known for his work on deep-water depositional systems, he is an industry expert with deep expertise in sequence/seismic stratigraphy and reservoir characterization in a variety of basins, environments, and business stages. With industry experience in global Exploration, Development, Production, and Research, he has held various technical and leadership positions over the course of his career and has a proven track record. He has been active in academia, holding different adjunct professor and guest lecturer positions, offering graduate student courses, and is the author of several highly cited publications. His extensive body of work reflects an integrated approach in which subsurface studies are complimented by the incorporation of outcrop geology, modern depositional systems, and knowledge of geologic processes. In addition to being a teacher, coach, and mentor, Rick remains an avid student of geoscience and is passionate about his work.
