Telemachos (Telly) Manos is a Senior Project Developer at EDF Renewables where he leads prospect generation, permitting, and acquisition of grid-scale renewable energy assets in the U.S. Southeast. While starting his career at ExxonMobil as a petroleum geologist, he found that many of the de-risking, mapping, and business development skills critical to characterizing petroleum system elements were also highly applicable to renewables, where quantifying uncertainty and risk are especially important. He encourages AAPG young professionals to network outside of traditional oil and gas roles to embrace the growing opportunity space in the energy transition.
